Up-and-coming Democrat refuses to be shamed about her abortion. “The Democratic nominee, a state representative in Nevada, bucks a stunning array of expectations that people have for politicians: Lucy Flores grew up poor, dropped out of high school, has done time in prison, and has a regrettable ankle tattoo. Oh yeah, and she’s open about having had an abortion.”
Thinking about calling someone with a disability ‘inspiring’? Don’t do it. “I don’t want to be your inspiration. I don’t want to ‘put things into perspective’ for you or remind you of everything you ‘take for granted’. I don’t want to prompt you to think long and hard about how ‘lucky’ you are to have a fully functioning body and mind.”
This guy lets his son wear a dress…and gets in on the action. “Maybe it’s a stage. And maybe it’s not. But either way, I don’t want him to ever feel like he wasn’t able to express himself because his parents didn’t support him.”
